Rules & Good Practice

To preserve the quality of the fishery and protect its environment, anglers are asked to follow these simple rules:

  • A valid UK rod fishing licence is required.
  • Barbless hooks only (to protect juvenile salmon stocks).
  • Limit of 1 trout per rod.
  • Fly fishing only.
  • No dogs, unless agreed with the owner.
  • All national byelaws must be observed.

These measures help ensure the river remains a thriving, sustainable fishery for years to come.

Access & Parking

Access is straightforward and angler-friendly:

Park to the left before the gate in wet conditions.
Park inside the gate when dry.

The fishing is just a short walk from your vehicle, so you can spend less time setting up and more time on the water.
